Tesla's Optimus remains in R&D with no verified commercial deployment, and 1X's NEO is taking pre-orders ahead of delivery. Can you buy a humanoid robot today?
Mostly no. Industrial humanoids are sold or leased to enterprises, not consumers. The main exceptions are research-grade platforms — Unitree sells developer humanoids with public prices — and early-access home programs from makers like 1X.
How much does a humanoid robot cost?
Public prices range from tens of thousands of dollars for research platforms to undisclosed enterprise contracts. Tesla has stated a long-term target of $20K–30K for Optimus, but that is a target, not a shipping price.
