Figure AI Figure 03

Limited deployment Humanoid · #4
Index score 76.9 (#33 overall) · In series production at Figure's BotQ factory since early 2026 (1,000th unit built July 2026; 350+ delivered by spring); used in commercial pilots and Figure's own operations, not generally purchasable. · Last verified 2026-09-01

Figure 03 is Figure AI's third-generation humanoid, unveiled October 2025 and built around Helix, the company's vision-language-action AI. It is the first Western humanoid in genuine series production: Figure's BotQ factory hit one robot per hour in April 2026 and built its 1,000th unit in July. Backed by more than $1B in Series C funding at a $39B valuation, Figure targets warehouses, manufacturing, and — eventually — homes. It is not yet purchasable.

Our take

Figure has the strongest manufacturing story outside China: real yield numbers, a dedicated factory, and a design (wireless foot-charging, palm cameras, soft coverings) clearly engineered for volume rather than demos. The caveats: no public customers at scale, no published price, and Helix's home-readiness is unproven. If BotQ's ramp holds, Figure 03 is the robot Optimus was supposed to be — shipping while Tesla is still tooling up.

Best suited for

  • Warehouse pick-and-place and tote handling
  • Manufacturing line tasks
  • Household chores (announced target market, in testing)

Figure 03: common questions

How much does Figure 03 cost?
Figure has not published a price. The robot is not generally for sale; units go to commercial pilots and Figure's own operations.
Can you buy a Figure 03?
Not yet. Figure builds robots at its BotQ factory for its own deployments and partners; there is no consumer or open enterprise ordering channel as of September 2026.
How many Figure 03 robots have been built?
Figure manufactured its 1,000th Figure 03 in late July 2026, after reaching a production rate of one robot per hour in April. BotQ's first line targets up to 12,000 units per year.
What is Helix?
Helix is Figure's proprietary vision-language-action AI model — the robot's brain. Figure 03 was designed around it, with upgraded cameras, palm cameras, and fingertip tactile sensing to feed it better data.
Figure 03 vs Tesla Optimus?
Figure 03 is in series production with over 1,000 units built by mid-2026, while Optimus V3 production had slipped to late 2026 with only prototype-scale output. Both target similar general-purpose work; neither is publicly purchasable.
